There are two controls that help govern what messages are sent from the Prayer Wall to Members, and one control involving the third-party PhoneVite phone tree service. All of these options can be set by either the Member through the Member Portal module or the System Administrators.

Prayer Wall Options & Controls for Members

- NOT receive an alert notification via e-mail whenever postings and replies are made to the member's Prayer Wall.

Explanation: When Members post a prayer request or praise report on the Prayer Wall, email notifications are sent to everyone. These notifications remind the Members to login and see what is posted on the Prayer Wall. Turning on this Checkbox will disable the alert email message. If a Member does not want to be alerted when something is posted, turn this Checkbox "on" for that Member.

- NOT receive cellphone texts when urgent messages are added to the prayer postings.

Explanation: When Members post a prayer request or praise report on the Prayer Wall, and mark the posting as "Urgent", text notifications are sent to everyone set up in the system to receive texting messages from the church. These text notifications remind the Members to login and see what Urgent items have been posted on the Prayer Wall. Turning on this Checkbox will disable the alert email message. If a Member does not want to be alerted via text message when something Urgent is posted, turn this Checkbox "on" for that Member.

PhoneVite Option for Members

PhoneVite is a third-party feature that permits a church to have its members called with a two-minute telephone message. PhoneVite eliminates the need for expensive phone tree software.

MemberLink® provides an automatic interface to PhoneVite as a value-added service.

- NOT included in automatic phone broadcasting notifications?

Explanation: If a Member does not want to receive a phone-tree voice message from the church, turn this checkbox "on" for that Member. If the box is off, PhoneVite will call the primary phone number and play the message if the call is answered by a person or by an answering machine. If there is no answer, PhoneVite will email the person a message with an audio file attached, at no extra cost, so that the Member can listen to the voice message from the email message.
