This area of the Profile screen features the "Manager Checkboxes" that are used to grant special privileges or special access to certain people.

There is a [Checkboxes Help ?] button narrative for this section of the screen next to the "Manager Checkboxes Options" label.

** Note: If you haven't already read that general "Help Text" narrative for these options, you should go read it first because it does provide some helpful information before you look at any of the specific "Manager Checkboxes" in detail.

The following is a description of the specific "Attendance Manager" Checkbox and indicates what purpose this Checkbox serves.

"Attendance Manager" Checkbox

If you give a person the "Attendance Manager" privilege, they will be able to view the attendance records for a group or groups while logged into the Member Portal module.

Why do we need to grant Attendance Manager permissions to individuals?

You may want to give class teachers, group leaders, care group leaders, staff, and others the capability of viewing the attendance data for a class or a group for which they have some responsibility.

But what if you do not want to give them login capability to the Administrative module just so they can access the Group Attendance Reporting screen?

With this function, you can let them work with attendance data reports by accessing the Administrative module's Group Attendance Reporting screen from the Member Portal module. People interested in who is attending and people doing outreach to those not attending are the people that could use this special permission.

How do we designate people to have "Attendance" access in the Member Portal module?

In the Administrative module, on the right side of the Profile screen, there is an area with "Manager Checkboxes." These Checkboxes are only visible to the MasterAdmin and SysAdmin and can only be manipulated by them.

Using the Attendance Manager Checkbox, you can indicate in this person's profile that they may work with attendance data reporting from the Member Portal module. The default when you enter a new person into the system is that this Checkbox will not be checked and this person will not be able to view the attendance data from the Member Portal module. The MasterAdmin or SysAdmin has to click this Checkbox to authorize it.

** Note: People granted Attendance Manager permissions will have a special button that appears on their Profile screen when they are logged into the Member Portal module. It is the [Attendance Reporting] button, and it appears at the top of their Profile screen. That is where they go to access the Group Attendance Reporting function from the Member Portal module.

Clicking the [Attendance Reporting] button will take them to a Group Attendance Reporting screen where they can view group attendance or create attendance reports.

You can designate as many people as you desire to have Member Portal module access to the Attendance data.
