Configuration File - Updating for NEXMO Texting Option

(HELP ?) Circles provide narratives on Training, Explanations, and Hints. These can be related to the overall screen, or to specific items on the screen.



This (HELP ?) Circle narrative is for the "ADDITIONAL SERVICES: NEXMO" Section in the Configuration File in MemberLink.



The Nexmo feature is fully defined on the "OPTIONS" Tab and screen when you click that tab on the Operations Bar . Then click the [NEXMO] Button on that screen.



Here in the Configuration File, there are five entries involved in setting up the Nexmo feature. You contact the Nexmo vendor and setup and account, then do the following:



Step 1: Switch from "Default Texting" to "Nexmo Texting" using the Texting Method pulldown menu.



Step 2: Enter the Nexmo API Key in the entry box. You get this from Nexmo when you setup the account.



Step 3: Enter the Nexmo API Secret code in the entry box. You get this from Nexmo when you setup the account.



Step 4: Enter the Nexmo Phone Number in the entry box. You get this from Nexmo when you setup the account.



Step 5: In order for you texting recipients to know the message is coming from your church, enter some identifying information in the entry box. For example, "Text from Church_Name "" "



After these five steps, click the [SAVE AND CONTINUE] Button and proceed with finalizing the Configuration File update process.
